Starwood debuts luxury property in Tokyo

Starwood's Luxury Collection will open the brand's first hotel in Tokyo in July 2016. The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, a Luxury Collection Hotel, owned by Prince Hotels, Inc., will be located in the heart of Tokyo's Kioicho neighborhood juxtaposing with historic marvels and ultra-modern infrastructure.

This marks The Luxury Collection's second property in Japan, following the opening of Suiran in Kyoto in April 2015.

The luxury hotel is in close proximity to Tokyo's myriad attractions, including Shimizudani Park and Benkei Canal as well as Akasaka Mitsuke station.

The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho is located on the 30th to 36th floor of the Tokyo Garden Terrace, a mixed-use development encompassing retail, offices and residences with a lobby on the top floor.

The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho will offer 250 guestrooms, including 11 suites. The 35th floor will feature a signature bar and boast more than 272 square meters of state-of-the-art function and meeting space, a large indoor pool, a fitness centre, a spa, a business center and a club lounge.

In 2015, Starwood signed four new hotels and opened three new properties in Japan, namely Sheraton Kiroro Hokkaido Resort; The Kiroro, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Hokkaido; and The Westin Rusutsu Resort. When opened, The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioichio will be Starwood's fourth hotel in Tokyo, enhancing the company's presence in the Japanese capital.
