Thailand wants its MICE travellers to be sidetracked - in a good way. To start, Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) is offering the "Thailand Connect Beyond the Capital" special privilege package for international MICE groups of 100 delegates or more holding their meetings and incentive events outside the capital and flying with Thai Airways, Thai Smile and Bangkok Airways.
Such groups will be eligible for domestic flight rates of 1,000 Thai baht (US$29) per delegate, with a maximum spend of 300,000 Thai baht (US$8,570) per group.
The promotion requires a minimum three nights' stay, and also requires the Request for Proposal (RFP) to be submitted at least two months prior to the group's arrival. The RFP may be submitted until September 30, 2016 for a travel period of any time between now and December 30, 2016. For further information on the promotion, contact [email protected].
"Thailand Connect Beyond the Capital" is part of TCEB's "Thailand Connect" programme, a global marketing campaign unveiled in 2013 designed to make it easier for corporate buyers and meeting organisers to sell Thailand as a premier MICE destination.
