Since 2013, Westin Resorts and Delta Air Lines have collaborated on a series of projects that "promise a better slumber" for travellers. From mid-November, travellers in Delta's First Class cabins will be able to try their latest collaboration: the Westin Heavenly In-Flight Blanket.
Westin has a history of trying to improve sleep for guests at its properties through in-room amenities and dining options to various partnerships that promote better sleep. It was the brand's Westin Heavenly Bed, which was introduced more than 15 years ago, that inspired the new super-soft blanket that will, they say, ensure travellers rest easy in the clouds.
Part of the Westin Heavenly In-Flight program, previous efforts to improve the in-flight sleep experience have included Westin Heavenly In-Flight Bedding, luxurious white comforters, and hypoallergenic pillows.
Westin has also launched the Sleep Well package which tries to minimise the impact travelling has on sleep patterns. The package offers a nightly credit for the Westin Sleep Well Menu, a menu of sleep-enhancing superfoods, and a $100 credit for Westin's In-Room Spa or at the hotel's spa. Guests who book and experience the Westin Sleep Well package in November will also receive a custom-designed microfibre sleep mask and the Westin Heavenly In-Flight Blanket. Prices begin at $189.
