Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas gets an upgrade

Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas Resort has seen strong forward bookings within the meetings and conference market after undergoing a $40 million dollar revitalisation.

MICE bookings have shown exceptional growth with the next two years being fully booked thanks to a range of upcoming major conferences from a diverse range of industry sectors including telecommunications, finance and medical.

"Feedback has been incredibly positive from our MICE customers and interest is strong from the domestic market, in particular Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, as well as our neighbours in New Zealand," said Nathan Gadd, director of sales and marketing, Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas. "They are excited about the new and upgraded facilities and the creative ways we can host large-scale events down to small team-building incentives."

Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas offers versatile spaces for over 1,000 delegates with flexible indoor and outdoor conference or event spaces including Mirage island, the main beach, the poolside deck and the glade pavilion which is North Queensland's largest resort conference facility.

Along with upgraded guest rooms, refurbished function facilities include the ballroom, breakout rooms, and a pre-function space along with an enhanced poolside area. The new Lobby Café is ideally suited for business meetings.

Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas Resort is accessible from Cairns Airport with over 800 domestic and international flights per week.
