Launched to meet the demand of business and tourism travellers between the two countries (according to statistics, Singapore is Vietnam's sixth largest trading partner, while Vietnam is now Singapore's 11th largest trading partner), the Vietnam-based airline will start the new service on 27 April, 2017 and will operate daily return flights.
The new route will be only the second to connect Vietnam and Singapore (flights to and from Singapore are also available from Ho Chi Minh City, which allows passengers to connect to over 60 domestic and international destinations). The airline is also planning to connect Singapore with Da Lat and Da Nang in the near future.
The service will depart from Singapore at 16.55 (local time) and arrive at Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi at 16:50 (local time), while the return leg will depart at 10:00 (local time) and arrive at Singapore Changi Airport at 13.55 (local time) giving an approximate flight time of three hours. Tickets for the new route are now available to purchase at www.vietjetair.com, with flights costing as little as S$29 within Vietjet's promotional hours (1-3pm).
