Marriott International is gearing up to roll out even more offerings and incentives which are aimed squarely at business travel professionals. "In the coming year, we'll be unveiling scores of new luxury and lifestyle properties and significant new ballrooms worldwide, but also new guest experiences for valued, tech-savvy road warriors across our portfolio of brands." said Brian King, Marriott International's Global Officer, Brand Management & Global Sales.
Currently, Marriott is innovating across its system with perks that include mobile check-in and check-out (the industry's first brand to offer such services); Netflix in-room entertainment (another industry first), which is offered at more than 300 hotels globally; and MeetingsImagined.com, Marriott International's visual, social and collaborative website. The website is designed to unite meeting planners and provide tips and information to help plan meetings which includes quizzes and trend-related articles.
And next month Marriott will unveil a hotel which is designed to test new ideas and technology. Planners will be able to see Marriott's vision for the next-generation meeting space and experiences. Among the concepts to be tested is an interactive pre-function space that resembles a high-end residential kitchen and a next-generation boardroom with unexpected natural light and cutting-edge touchscreen monitors.
This year also marks an active period for meeting space expansion, with several high-profile projects underway worldwide.
