With society's increasing mindfulness about health and wellness, meeting planners have to take this into consideration when deciding on the menu for events.
The newly opened integrated wellness concept store Mahota Commune at Kitchener Complex gives you access to an array of nutritious food choices for your event attendees.
With the philosophy "we grow what we cook; we cook what we sell", the 20,000-sq ft Mahota Commune, started by Prime Group International, features two F&B outlets that serve wholesome meals, many of which feature ingredients grown from their own organic farm, Mahota.
"As growers ourselves, we'd love to share with our community the provenance of our food… our mission is to source responsibly organic and natural products," said Valerie Tan, co-creator of Mahota Commune.
At the 106-seater Mahota Kitchen restaurant, diners can expect tasty Italian fare such as Homemade Spinach Tagliatelle (US$19++/SGD$25.80++) featuring mixed mushrooms, poached free range egg in pork bolognese with white truffle oil; and its signature Mahota Hot Pot Set (from US$13.90++/SGD$18.80++), consisting of healthy ingredients like tofu that's made from non-GMO and organic soybeans.
The 60-seater Mahota Pantry serves slow-pressed juices and bread that's freshly made by in-house bakers. A highlight on the menu is the 9elements Box (from SGD$19.80++), which features healthy food items - think charcoal beancurd and quinoa with chilli corn - that incorporate essential nutrients to one's diet, and is crafted in collaboration with nutritionists.
To offer a comprehensive wellness living concept, Mahota Commune also comprises organic supermarket Mahota Market; Mahota Clinic where TCM consultations are held, as well as Mahota Life, where exercises such as yoga are held.
For business functions like lectures, round table sessions or product launches, planners can consider booking the 100-sqm Activity Studio, which seats 80 people, lecture style.
Mahota Commune is located at 809 French Road, Level 3, Kitchener Complex. It is opened daily from 9am-10pm. The last order for the kitchen is 9pm.
