MISE has its eyes on Macau

The Meetings, Incentives and Special Events Association (MISE) launched in Macau last week, bringing a new face to Macau's MICE industry. The newly-launched non-profit association aims to support professionals working in the MICE industry.

President of the board of directors Todd Cai says "There are many associations in Macau, but most of them are focused on exhibitions. There is no other local association that covers … incentives and special events." Henry Brockman, the president of the supervisory board, echoed the Macau government's proclamation that MICE remains a top priority in the promotion of the city in the government's goal to diversify Macau's economy when he said MICE is a priority in the market.

On top of supplying support, the organization will also work as a platform for education. Ultimately MISE would like to produce its own educational programs which provide internationally accredited programs as well as offer independent studies focusing on the MICE industry in order to promote business entrepreneurship in the local industry.
