The Seoul MICE Alliance (SMA), a partnership between government agencies and private-sector organisations, has given Seoul's MICE scene a competitive edge by offering support when it comes to overs.
Launched in 2011, the SMA has seen steady growth in membership and currently has 231 member companies, 36 of which were recently added, spread across 10 different sectors. New member organisations come from various sectors including hotels, convention centres, travel agencies, MICE services and unique venues, among others.
Among the 11 new unique venues are: Eland Cruise, Hotel Cappuccino, Ibis Styles Ambassador, Seoul Myeongdong's Rooftop, Seoul Donhwamun Traditional Theater, and the National Folk Museum of Korea. The new members will help the alliance further sell Seoul as an international MICE destination.
