Kaohsiung ramps up MICE activities

MICE delegates were recently invited to visit premier facilities, hotels and well-known attractions in the Taiwanese harbour city of Kaohsiung. The three-day tour, hosted by the city's Economic Development Bureau, aimed to promote Kaohsiung as a top MICE destination. It was the first Kaohsiung MICE familiarisation tour organised by the bureau.

Kaohsiung City is the largest industrial and commercial harbor city in Taiwan. In order to support industrial development and increase international competitiveness, the Economic Development Bureau has expanded marketing and business solicitation to try to increase business opportunities and facilitate economic development.

MICE venues in the city include Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, Taiwan's first portside international MICE centre which can accommodate up to 4,000 people; the International Convention Center Kaohsiung; and The Fo Guang Shan Buddha Memorial Center which hires out a selection of venues for non-profit and charity events.
