Work functions can be mundane and even stifling for the delegates who have to spend hours coped up in a room. Holding an event at the Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain in Chengdu, China can be, literally, a breath of fresh air.
Nestled between the sheer Qing Cheng Mountain and the resort's organic garden, Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain's new multi-purpose Qing You Hall is beautifully appointed with natural timbre finishes and panelling dressed in earthy tones that hint of Chinese embellishments.
Light features descend from vaulted ceilings, augmented by recessed down lighting that can be programmed to create varying moods.
The 420-sqm pillarless ballroom, which can be divided into three separate spaces, is designed to be flexible as it caters to banquets, meetings or intimate gatherings. The venue can hold up to 300 for gala dinners; cocktails and receptions of 480; and meetings with a classroom set-up for 280 or theatre configuration for 420.
There is also an adjoining sheltered terrace and lawn, which allows planners to think beyond the box when planning for their event. For instance, a marque can be erected on the lawn.
To welcome special guests, the hall also offers a VIP anteroom, which has a sophisticated sound system, AV capabilities and wifi. Vehicular access to all areas is available to maximise convenience for attendees.
A dedicated team is on hand to provide conceptual, planning and logistics support, with the flexibility of working with external parties such as audiovisual suppliers and professional event organisers, if required.
Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain is located a 60-minute drive from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU), and a 60-minute drive or train away from Chengdu city.
