Holiday Inn Express expands presence in India

IHG has expanded their Holiday Inn Express brand with two new locations in India. Both new hotels offer affordable accommodation for business travellers with a range of facilities and amenities including free Wi-fi, free breakfast, a self-service business centre and a laundry room, making it perfect for long business trips.

The 136-room Holiday Inn Express Chennai Old Mahabalipuram Road offers business travellers access to the district's commercial centre which serves as a hub for automobile plants, IT technology parks and dedicated Special Economic Zones (SEZs). Also nearby are major tourist attractions such as ECR Beach, VGP Universal Kingdom Amusement Park and a major shopping district.

Further north is the Holiday Inn Express New Delhi - International Airport Terminal 3. The hotel is the first to open in the airport and allows for easy access to both international and domestic terminals (the 93-room hotel is spread across two wings, 57 in the International Wing and 36 in the Domestic Wing).

For travellers who are short on time but need to freshen up, the hotel's three aqua pods allow the chance to freshen up in private shower rooms (but must be booked for a minimum of one hour). Facilities include a 24-hour fitness centre and spa.

There are currently five Holiday Inn Express hotels open across India, but with over a dozen in the pipeline IHG would seem to be gaining momentum in India.
