Venice Simplon-Orient-Express continues its tradition of old-world elegance and social sophistication with a new Bar Car that caters to the discerning, replete with musicians and magicians if you wish. This is just one of many customisable activities and elements offered aboard the plush new British Pullman carriage that has been christened '3674'.
Guests will be whisked back in time amidst the vibrant blue-gold themed 1920s styled décor of the Bar Car while they savour the new cocktail menu by head barman Walter Nisi and a caviar menu developed in collaboration with world-famous caviar producer Petrossian.
The Bar Car is available for hire for a day excursion, a spectacular gala dinner or even a journey across Europe along with the rest of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express from March to November each year, and is perfectly suited for celebrations, private VIP meetings or for entertaining clients.
Prices for the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express start from £2,210 (US$3,150) per person sharing a double cabin and include all meals served on board, full board and soft drinks.
Groups of 12 or more passengers may book any classic Venice-London journey and receive discounts of up to 40% from March to June 2016.
Private use of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express's three restaurant cars and Bar Car is available for those groups occupying the train on exclusive charters, which is possible for groups of up to 182 pax. Groups may enjoy either a classic scheduled journey or a tailor-made itinerary with a fully-customised menu as well as all activities on and off the train.
As one of the world's most famous luxury trains, the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, part of Belmond Ltd's luxury travel adventures collection, evokes the original Orient Express inaugurated since 1883, and now transports guests to the bygone elegance of luxury travel aboard 1920s and 1930s carriages.
