Meet under the blue sky. Be surrounded by sparkling waters. Or anywhere else you choose at W Seminyak. As a MICE venue, the hotel's events team conjur up creative tricks so attendees can expect anything but staid.
Since its official opening in 2011, W Seminyak has initiated games for MICE events such as Work Your Style where participants get to design their own T-shirts or shoes. Then there are programmes to get people to move. As part of "Wish WorkshopTM in a 'W Sensory Set Up', where participants are allowed to opt for experiences such as cooking lessons or flying a Balinese kite, the W Seminyak team put together a W Olympics in September last year for Philip Morris Asia where their staff played games such as dodge ball and chopstick relay.
The W team also met a last-minute request to put together a Silent Disco party at WOOBAR for 113 pax for Spark New Zealand. At this unique event, tunes could be heard only through wireless headphones, which glow red, blue or green depending on which channel the reveller choses. In May last year, the W Mice Team also partnerned L'atelier Parfums & Creation to teach 40 women attendees how to create their own signature perfumes during a AHG Group New Zealand incentive trip.
Groups at W Seminyak get to enjoy a gourmet Pan-Asian menu at Starfish Bloo helmed by chef du cuisine Matthew McCool, who had trained under world-renowned chefs such as Gordon Ramsay, Tom Aikens and Peter Gilmore. Prior to joining Starfish Bloo, Matthew spent over a decade in Michelin-starred restaurants in London, Sicily, Beijing and Sydney.
Starfish Bloo is located on the oceanfront with scenic views, allowing groups to enjoy beachside dining.
