No question about the 5 stars

Last week Forbes released their authoritative compilation of the five- and four- star hotels, restaurants and spas across the world. Among the nine hotels in Macau Forbes deemed worth of five stars was the Conrad Macao. The 636-room property is located right on the Cotai Strip between the Sheraton Grand and The St. Regis Macao and retains the five-star status it was awarded last year. It is also the only Conrad hotel in the world to be given five-star status by Forbes.

As part of the Sands Cotai Central complex (which also includes the Holiday Inn along with the aforementioned The St Regis and Sheraton) the Conrad has a total area of 5,800 square metres of meeting and banquet space that that can be divided into 48 separate conference and meeting spaces and boardrooms. As part of Sands Cotai Central, guests also have access to a further six junior ballrooms and a 14,200sqm grand ballroom.

Fierce MICE competition in Macau can drive the hotels to offer lots of promotions, including the Conrad's unique Take Me to Bed promotion which offered a free bed (an actual bed) to meeting planners who met certain requirements. Other offers, subject to the kind of meeting booked, give everything from a five percent discount on your final conferences and events bill to a one-hour free-flow beverage package for all delegates.
