Located in Sichuan Province's capital city Chengdu, the recently opened JW Marriott Hotel Chengdu features a modern design inspired by traditional Chinese motifs and craftsmanship. Offering views of the Sichuan Library and Chengdu Museum, a couple of the city's newest landmarks, the hotel has a total of 345 rooms.
The new property offers over 1,800 square metres of multi-functional event space and is equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual systems and comprehensive business facilities. The pillar-less Grand Ballroom spans nearly 1,000 square metres, boasts a floor-to-ceiling showcase window, and connects to a private rooftop pre-function area with garden. The Grand Ballroom can host a reception for 700 guests or a theatre-style set-up for 800. It can also be transformed into three smaller venues. An additional eight multi-purpose function rooms add to the portfolio of event venues.
On the dining front there is Man Ho, the hotel's signature Cantonese restaurant that serves Cantonese cuisine with a Sichuan twist. Five private dining rooms are on offer for business dinners and small events. Three additional dining options including Table, an all-day restaurant with international à la carte dishes and a buffet; Chengdu Baking Company, offering sandwiches, desserts and coffee for on-the-go business travellers, and The Lounge, where guests can enjoy cocktails and appetisers. Facilities include a spa, an indoor heated swimming pool and a fitness centre.
The opening of the JW Marriott Chengdu marks the brand's first hotel in Chengdu and it thirteenth in China. Its central location is conveniently right in the hub of the city's bustling business district.
