After a fruitful partnership of 20 years with Marriott International Hotels, AyalaLand Hotels and Resorts Corporation (AHRC)'s Cebu City Marriott Hotel has closed its doors on January 1, 2018, for refurbishments that will see it become a Seda brand, wholly-owned by AHRC.

Since its launch in 2012, the Seda hotel brand has appeared in various locations throughout the Philippines, including Bonifacio Global City in Tauig City, Davao City, Iloilo City and Quezon City.

"Seda, which now has more than 1,400 rooms throughout the country, is ready to fill the needs of Cebu Business Park locators and visitors," said AHRC president and CEO Al Legaspi.

The rebranded Seda property in Cebu Business Park will be the brand's largest in the Visayas Island.

Renovations will be done throughout the hotel including its rooms and meeting spaces, according to its communications spokesperson.
