One of Bangkok's most anticipated hotel openings is the 251-room Avani Riverside Bangkok, scheduled to open its doors in April this year. The 26-floor property fronts the Chao Phraya River, and is one of several key developments that have been targeted to invigorate the locale.
Situated next to the Avani Riverside Bangkok is the Riverside Plaza that encompasses 60 international retail brands, bars, restaurants, entertainment and wellness establishments, all of which means that guests have the option of not making a trip to the city to shop.
For evening cocktails, the hotel's Attitude Bar and Restaurant offers expansive views of Bangkok, fringed by an infinity swimming pool. The Avani Riverside Bangkok also features two stand-out restaurants - Long Bar and Skyline as well as Pantry, a spot for quick take away snacks and coffees.
Among the hotel's highlights is the sleek 4,500sqm Grand Ballroom, with ceilings touted as the city's highest as well as skylights streaming natural light. The space has a capacity of 1,500 people, and showcases an innovative open-plan kitchen, where guests may interact with the chefs. The hotel has also been technologically enhanced, and is equipped with computer connections and informal meeting spaces.
Serviced by a regular shuttle boat service to the Saphan Taksin pier and the BTS Skytrain station, the hotel is a mere 15 minutes from central Bangkok.
