Soravit Hotels is gearing up to unveil its first hotel concept, a combination of "old" Hong Kong style fused with inspiration from Tsim Sha Tsui, the Hong Kong neighborhood the hotel is located in.
The new hip and trendy locale features a vintage vibe, with old letter boxes and retro pay phones which lend a nostalgic feel to the new space. The decor and ambience aim to transport guests back to Hong Kong circa early '70s and '80s with artwork depicting how the neighborhood was before being developed. Private events at the hotel enjoy a backdrop which features an eclectic collection of antique furniture and accessories - think plastic crates from local markets and walls that are decorated in the same style as that for public housing.
There are 81 themed guests rooms that come in four categories: urban, small and rustic spaces with a twist of nostalgia; cosy, slightly bigger with the same quirky design elements; elite, a more spacious room type that offers a separate seating area; and studio suite, an open-plan area that offers double pull-out sofa beds.
The hotel will make its official debut in October.
