TICA ushers in new leadership as longstanding president steps down

After eight-term legacy, TICA president Sumate Sudasna hands over to Prachoom Tantiprasertsuk.

The Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA) has appointed Prachoom Tantiprasertsuk as its new president for the 2025–2026 term, succeeding Sumate Sudasna, who concludes a historic tenure of eight consecutive terms.

Prachoom currently serves as vice president – operations and government & business relations at Dusit International. In her new role at TICA, she will champion sustainable growth, promote cross-generational collaboration, and prioritise knowledge-sharing through structured mentorship initiatives.

With deep expertise in the MICE and business events sector, Prachoom is expected to lead TICA with a clear, inclusive vision. Her presidency aims to empower the next generation of industry professionals by fostering active member participation, open dialogue, and a culture of mutual support.

In recognition of his exceptional contributions to TICA and the industry at large, Sumate Sudasna has been appointed president emeritus, a newly created lifetime title. Sumate, who is also the founder and managing director of CDM Thailand, has been instrumental in advancing Thailand’s position as a global MICE destination. In his new honorary role, he will continue to provide strategic guidance and may represent the association at key industry events.
