Indonesia-listed travel group Bayu Buana has partnered with Malaysia-based creative agency Aavii Worldwide to expand its corporate events capabilities and pursue new opportunities in Indonesia's MICE market.

Announced on October 29, the partnership combines Bayu Buana's established corporate network and local market presence in Indonesia with Aavii's more than 23 years of experience in event planning, creative development and production.

Aavii's portfolio spans product launches, gala dinners, international conferences, corporate meetings and incentive programmes for Fortune 500 companies and global brands. Its expertise in event technology and production is expected to complement Bayu Buana's existing MICE operations.

The collaboration will operate under the Bayu Buana MICE Services banner, powered by Aavii Worldwide, offering Indonesian corporate clients access to a broader range of event planning and production capabilities.

Both partners said the Indonesian–Malaysian duo sealed “a marriage of complementary strengths”, a partnership that brings together two established players with a shared ambition to elevate corporate event experiences.

The partnership also adds a regional dimension to Bayu Buana's MICE ambitions. The company is a member of the Ministry of MICE (MOM), a regional network launched in January 2026 to facilitate cross-border event planning and delivery across Southeast Asia and Hong Kong.

MOM operates on a single-point-of-contact model, connecting clients with local expertise and regional resources to navigate differences in language, culture and business practices when organising events across multiple markets.

For Bayu Buana and Aavii, the two collaborations create scope to combine Indonesian market knowledge with a wider network of creative and operational capabilities, particularly for corporations planning events across multiple Southeast Asian destinations.
