The city will become the show’s sole home from 2027 to 2031, with plans for tastings, food pairings and networking events beyond the exhibition halls.

Hong Kong has secured exclusive hosting rights for Vinexpo Asia from 2027 to 2031, ending the wine and spirits exhibition’s rotation with Singapore. The first edition under the agreement will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 8 to 10 June 2027.

Signed on 30 October, the partnership between the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) and organiser Vinexposium will make the show an annual fixture in Hong Kong, where it previously took place every other year. Singapore hosted the intervening editions.

HKTB and Vinexposium plan to expand the show and develop a citywide programme linking it with Hong Kong’s dining, culture and nightlife offerings. Proposed activities include wine tastings, food-and-wine pairings and networking events across key districts, showcasing wine and spirits cultures from Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific.

The agreement also gives the event a settled base for its next phase. Philippe Tapie, an elected member of the Bordeaux Gironde Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said establishing an annual home would provide “the continuity and certainty that businesses increasingly value”, enabling producers, buyers and industry professionals to develop relationships over the longer term.

Hong Kong’s association with the exhibition dates back to 1998. The new partnership seeks to deepen its connections with the city’s gastronomy and hospitality sectors, bringing more of the event’s activity beyond the convention centre.
