Kempinski Hotel Frankfurt is providing event organisers the option of mobile rapid (antigen) testing stations for their participants at a cost of EUR$39.90 (US$47) each.

Working alongside Berlin company Easy BioMED, which operates testing centres in facilities including Hotel Bristol Berlin, Kempinski Hotel Frankfurt will set up the test station in the treatment rooms of its Country Club & Spa, so guests can get tested directly before an event or meeting.

“This significantly increases safety for all participants, and is in line with the German federal government’s testing strategy," said hotel director Karina Ansos, who added that Kempinski Hotel Frankfurt's employees will be tested for free.

Up to four people can be tested simultaneously in five-minute intervals at the mobile rapid testing station. Delegates will follow previously assigned time slots, and receive test results in 15 minutes.

The tests being used are listed by the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) and offer a very high level of precision. The swabs are taken by trained technicians, while modern equipment ensures a safe and almost contact-free process.

Upon request, companies can also book a PCR test for their event participants at Kempinski Hotel Frankfurt. Easy BioMed will work with a partner laboratory in the nearby town of Dietzenbach to test the samples. The test costs EUR$99.90, with results available the next business day.

An Express Service for PCR tests is available for same-day results, at a cost of EUR$250.

According to the FDA (United States Food and Drug Administration), positive results from rapid (antigen) tests are "usually highly accurate, but false positives can happen, especially in areas where very few people have the virus". PCR tests are touted to be "highly accurate and usually does not need to be repeated".

Event organisers interested in booking rapid tests for their guests can contact Easy BioMED’s Wagner here.
