With its participation at the Monaco Yacht Show, the Hong Kong Tourism Board has taken its first step in a partnership with Informa Markets to explore and scale B2B2C exhibition potentials in Hong Kong.

The Monaco Yacht Show is the tourism board’s opening stop in a global roadshow under a three-year (2026-2028) Strategic City Partnership with Informa Markets.

The strategic partnership takes aim at staking B2B2C exhibition flagships in Hong Kong, with priority given to high-value sectors including yachts and boats, supercars, jewellery and watches, private aviation, luxury travel, fine dining, wellness and art.

At the centre of the partnership is The Festival of Connoisseurs (TFOC), a city-wide B2B2C festival model scheduled to debut at AsiaWorld-Expo from 4 to 6 November 2026.

The Monaco Yacht Show gave Hong Kong access to yacht owners, marine-industry executives, luxury brands, investors and high-net-worth travellers.

The outreach also served as an early test of international interest in Hong Kong’s offer before a yacht and marina component is developed within the wider festival.

The tourism board is optimistic, stating that its partner “sees strong potential in Hong Kong for launching and growing flagship experiences in the region”. HKTB attributes this to its compelling proposition for the yachting and marine industry, being “one of the world’s finest natural harbours”. Moreover, Hong Kong acts as a “super-connector” to the increasingly affluent markets in the Greater Bay Area, Mainland China and Asia.

The city’s calendar of international marine and sailing events already includes SailGP and the Dragon World Championship.

Following the Monaco Yacht Show, other roadshow stops for HKTB and Informa are the Palm Beach International Boat Show, Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Jewellery Arabia and Top Marques Monaco.
