BANGKOK - Hotel JAL City Bangkok opens on May 8, 2020 after being rebranded from the currently operating Hotel Verve Bangkok. Located on Sukhumvit Road in Thonglor tourist and business district, the venue will offer special rates for One Harmony members.

"We are delighted to be able to introduce the Hotel JAL City brand outside Japan for the first time," said Mr Jo Sato, the hotel's cluster general manager.

"We're expecting it to bring broader recognition of our hotel brand in Thailand. We aim to provide services that take advantage of the convenient and strategic location of the new hotel."

The 324-room hotel will be the 13th JAL City property to be operated by Okura Nikko Hotel Management, one of the largest hotel operators headquartered in Japan. Thonglor BTS Skytrain station is a three-minute walk away. Thonglor is in the Wattana district of central Bangkok and is home to Japanese, expatriates and wealthy Thais.

The Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre, along with restaurants, bars, community-type malls and international hospitals, are nearby.

The hotel is offering opening rates from 2,800 baht before tax for a standard room, including breakfast for two, for stays from May 8 to July 31, 2020.

The hotel is the first property outside Japan to operate under the Hotel JAL City brand, and the fourth property in Thailand that will be operated by Okura Nikko Hotel Management, following The Okura Prestige Bangkok (opened May 2012), Hotel Nikko Bangkok (opened January, 2019), and Hotel Nikko Amata City Chonburi (to open in 2021).
