BALI - As a further commitment to environmentally sustainable practices, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) Bali has launched a cluster initiative designed to promote environmental and cultural awareness to all MICE delegates.

The initiative will see all properties under IHG Hotels & Resorts Bali - InterContinental Bali Resort, Hotel Indigo Seminyak, Hotel Holiday Inn Benoa and Holiday Inn Baruna - implement environmentally sustainable practices into their respective MICE frameworks.

This will see, among others, meeting delegates taking a break from their business agendas to participate in a range of different cultural and sustainable activities.

Examples of such activities include a turtle release program conducted on the beach in cooperation with the local Turtle Conservations and Education Center, or a chance to visit a hydroponic farm to plant some of the various organic vegetables that supply to IHG restaurants. Delegates can also contribute time and resources to underprivileged children and schools around Bali.

In addition, a traditional Balinese blessing ceremony can be performed prior to each event and this is followed up by using eco-friendly meeting amenities such as paper straws, local coffee and snacks, and more.
