Hilton Singapore Orchard has launched ‘Meetings, Elevated’, a programme designed to create sustainable and impactful events. Building on the three pillars of Hilton’s ‘Meet With Purpose’ initiative – first introduced in 2015 –the programme enhances meeting experiences while ensuring a positive and responsible impact on communities.
“We have seen an increased interest from travellers who are seeking to quantify and minimise their environmental impact and prioritise climate-conscious menu options when they are travelling,” said Rupert Hallam, general manager, Hilton Orchard. “We continue to strive toward responsible tourism and set the benchmark of delivering exceptional event experiences which are sustainable, low on waste but high on impact, value and creativity.”
Event planners can take advantage of Hilton Orchard Singapore’s features and amenities, such as a total of 16 event-ready spaces, comprising 2,400sqm and 2 ballrooms, dedicated events servicing teams and cutting-edge AV tech and LED walls.
Hilton has also introduced eco-friendly solutions, such as replacing plastic keycards with FSC-certified wooden keycards. Hilton Honors members can use their mobile app as a digital key, eliminating the need for physical cards.
Measuring & offsetting carbon footprints
Event planners focused on sustainability will be able to review their meetings' total carbon footprint and environmental impact via Hilton’s ‘LightStay Meeting Impact Calculator’. The hotel group’s partnership with ClimeCo also offers solutions like ‘Carbon Neutral Meetings’, which empowers Hilton to purchase carbon credits on behalf of customers to offset the event’s total carbon footprint. This offset will be attributed to the company with a confirmation certificate to further support their sustainability performance indicators.
Meanwhile, ‘Nourish’ and ‘Impact’ bring mindful dining and impactful local partnerships into focus, offering sustainable menu options and customisable live stations to climate-conscious diners, while building on meaningful connections and giving back to the community by offering MICE delegates unique hands-on experiences as add-on packages.
New MICE packages
Mindful of the varied needs of today’s event planners, Hilton Singapore Orchard offers two different MICE-focused packages. The ‘Full-Day Daily Delegate Package’ runs from 9 am to 5 pm, starts at $150++ per person inclusive of a lunch buffet at Estate restaurant.
Smaller events can consider the ‘Half-Day Daily Delegate Package’, with two different time frames (9am to 12pm, or 1pm to 5pm). Cost-wise, it begins at $125++ per person, or from $140++ per person if a lunch experience at Estate restaurant is desired.
Both packages include private use of the function venue with in-room amenities, standard Wi-Fi and one coffee break with free-flow coffee, tea and 3 snack choices.
