It’s been a busy year for the Pan Pacific Hotels Group: Earlier this year, the group announced the opening of the PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Jakarta and PARKROYAL A’Famosa Melaka Resort, expanding its portfolio across the Southeast Asian region.

More recently, it became the first hotel group in Singapore to attain the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) Industry Criteria for Hotels certification for all eight of its Singapore properties.

“Attaining the GSTC certification reaffirms PPHG’s commitment to sustainability and responsible business conduct,” said Choe Peng Sum, CEO of Pan Pacific Hotels Group. “The GSTC Multi-Site certification is aligned with Singapore’s Green Plan 2030 and the Singapore Tourism Board’s Hotel Sustainability Roadmap – which aims for 60% of hotel room stock in Singapore to attain internationally-recognised sustainability certification by 2025.”

At present, nearly all of the group’s properties in Singapore – with the exception of Pan Pacific Orchard – have obtained ISO14001 certification, the internationally recognised standard for environmental management systems.
