SEOUL - Grand Hyatt Seoul officially completed its extensive renovations of the hotel's Grand Ballroom providing a new, industry-leading platform for comprehensive event offerings to the wedding, banquet, and MICE markets.

The renovated Grand Ballroom offers event customers a completely new experience by melding the traditional foundations of function with modern, contemporary designs and technologies.

"Our ultimate goal is to provide innovative, immersive facilities for our guests, supported by our renowned event service," said Grand Hyatt Seoul's general manager Adrian Slater.

Guests entering the spectacular entry are met with a towering mirror ornament, reflecting the natural elements of Mt Namsan into the Grand Ballroom, as lobby guests are enveloped with the beauty of nature.

As guests descend the circular staircase to the first-floor foyer separating the Grand Ballroom and Grand Salon, they are met by a magnificent chandelier, an iconic element from the original ballroom design.

The spaces have been transformed, however, to reveal bright beige and sophisticated dark brown tones, to convey a more contemporary, corporate ambience. The entrance to the bridal room located behind the chandelier, has been elegantly redesigned with a silver silk wallpaper featuring a plum painting to add a Korean decorative element.

The renovated Grand Ballroom features new digital technology to meet the needs and expectations of today's hi-tech events.

All-analogue signage has been replaced with advanced digital signage, with the lobby balcony replaced with a massive digital wall enabling multi-media presentations of the highest quality. The large LED screen spans the ballroom's first floor lobby area capturing the attention of all guests as they assemble prior to entering the Grand Ballroom and Grand Salon.

The interior of the Grand Ballroom has been re-designed as a multi-purpose venue perfect for large scale theatrical and promotional events. The newly installed LED ceiling lighting is capable of projecting a spectrum of dynamic, coloured light effects adding drama to any event. A "musical fountain" has been introduced to provide a colourful water fountain spectacle synchronised to the ballroom's lighting and music systems.
