Perched on the banks of Bangkok’s famous canal Khlong Saen Saep with easy access to Siam Paragon lifestyle mall, Chatrium Grand Bangkok, a five-star hotel operated by Chatrium Hospitality, is all set to welcome guests on 28 November.

The 582-room and suite twin-tower hotel and residences, which was rebuilt on the site of Chatrium Hospitality’s former residential apartment, brings the group into the “highest tier” of the hospitality space. The hotel would be an urban retreat “like no other”, staying true to its “Feel the Remarkable” brand promise.

The development with an investment of THB 5.5 billion (approx US$150 million) is owned by City Realty, the real estate arm of the Sophonpanich family.

Blending Thailand’s artistic and cultural heritage with elegant and intuitive service acumen, the property was brought to life by acclaimed architect Robert Philip Holmes and Thai-based global design studio DWP.

Savitri Ramyarupa, managing director of Chatrium Hospitality, said Chatrium Grand Bangkok, which is part of Chatrium Hospitality’s newly enhanced luxury collection, signals the right time for entry into the luxury hotel space.

“The market has come back quickly for Thailand, in fact quicker than many of us expected.

“This project has been in the pipeline for many years and we have endeavoured to honour Thai heritage through the skills of many highly talented local craftspeople to offer a fresh interpretation of Thai art, culture and aesthetics,” she said.

The hotel features rooms starting at 46 sqm to 321 sqm penthouses, with panoramic views of the city, and cutting-edge technology and marble bathrooms with oversized, free-standing baths.

For guests on extended stay, there are choices of one-, two- and three-bedroom residences which help create a “home-away-from-home” experience in the Thai capital.

Be sure to indulge in the selection of restaurants – Savio (Thai and international flavours), Casia (French Mediterranean), Flow (poolside lounge), Lobby Lounge (all day refreshments) and Club Lounge (dining space for premium and suite guests).

Chatrium Hospitality operates 12 hotels, resorts and residences in Thailand, Japan and Myanmar. It has nine properties in Bangkok, including Chatrium Hotel Riverside Bangkok, one of the most recognisable landmarks on the banks of the Chao Phraya River.
