SINGAPORE - For executives who need to work out of their homes, a new deal has been launched by Sofitel Singapore City Centre to offer them this respite. The Work From Hotel (WFH) package offers a dedicated working area, high speed internet, privacy and premium amenities; it is available until 30 December 2020 for use from 1 July 2020.
Room rates are S$150 (US$105) for a Luxury Room and S$250 for a Luxury Suite for eight hours. Available time slots are between 7 am to 7 pm, inclusive of charging docks with universal plug and USB ports, free water, coffee, tea and minibar. This offer is limited to one person per room booking. AV and video conferencing facilities are not part of the deal as guests' have to bring their own laptops for use.
While there has been interest, the hotel has been unable to confirm bookings so far as Singapore will gradually re-open economic activities from 2 June. Most retail outlets, dining at F&B outlets and other personal services will not resume operations in this phase.
Singapore can only move into the next phase where social activities in small groups can resume if community transmission rates remain low and stable over the subsequent weeks from Phase One, and the foreign worker dormitory situation remains under control.

Wouter De Graaf, GM, Sofitel Singapore City Centre: "We are looking forward to Phase 2 where measures would have, hopefully, relaxed and we can take in bookings for the WFHotel package in July." Credit: Sofitel Singapore City Centre
Mr Wouter De Graaf, GM, Sofitel Singapore City Centre, said: "We decided to launch the WFHotel package as we understood that some may need a break from working from home and require a quiet and productive environment. As a conveniently located luxury hotel, our guest rooms provide the perfect space.
"With a dedicated working area, high speed internet, privacy and premium amenities; the package was designed with the guests' need in mind during this time where many are working from home but may not have the ideal space to do so. Coupled with the convenience of allowing guests to order their meals from the hotel's restaurant, Racines, and have it delivered in-room is an added plus point for our WFHotel Package.

The 60-sqm Mempat room hosts 10 pax with high ceilings and natural daylight, whilst the 97-sqm Angsana room and 175-sqm Buni and Tembusu rooms offer other alternatives.
Al fresco venue, The Lawn, hosts picnics, evening barbecues, themed corporate and social events, product launches and musical performances.
