KUALA LUMPUR - AC Hotels by Marriott has arrived in Malaysia with three new hotels.
The 362-room AC Hotel Kuala Lumpur Titiwangsa near Kuala Lumpur's CBD was opened last week. It has close access to the Light Rapid Transit and Monorail trains. The other two properties are in Penang (opened on Feb 5, 2020) and Kuantan (opened Feb 7, 2020). They will be owned and managed by YTL Hotels in Malaysia.
Mike Fulkerson, vice president, brand marketing, Asia Pacific, Marriott International said that the three hotels are designed to offer an urban modern, high-style and carefully curated experience, adding that "the opening of all three hotels further compliments Marriott International's growing footprint in the country."
The KL hotel has 11 meeting rooms, a ballroom seating 360 guests, and corporate meeting packages with team building programmes. Mr Kirinjit Singh, area general manager operations AC Hotels said they were perfectly positioned to cater to smaller and medium-sized groups and that they could cross-sell across other Marriott properties.
The hotels offer the brand's signature AC Kitchen with a European-inspired breakfast spread, while the AC Lounge offers all-day tapas and drinks and Roselle mocktail in the evening. A 24-hour Grab & Go self-service kiosk is also available.
AC Hotel Penang Bukit Jambul has 10 meeting rooms and a ballroom for up to 700 guests. The hotel features 423 guestrooms that include 2- and 3-bedroom suites.
AC Hotel Kuantan City Centre features 215 guestrooms and suites, seven meeting rooms and a ballroom that can seat up to 700 guests.
