1. Make dining a fun affair
Dining doesn't always have to take place in a restaurant: creative dining experiences make an event more unique and memorable. Hong Kong Disneyland can work with planners to arrange meals at their garden or even on a junk boat sailing from the Disneyland Resort Pier, as was arranged for guests of La Rose Noire's 25th Anniversary Celebration.

"Our guests from the F&B industry have a professional palette for food. They were very content with the presentation, taste as well as the standard of the food," - Yvonne Wong, Director, La Rose Noire
2. Get versatile

For your next event, try using a variety of meeting spaces and set-ups to add novelty and increase attention spans. Mary Kay China, for instance, organized 16 Training and Conference sessions at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel in the span of 9 months: each time, in addition to using the Cinderella Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 1,000 guests, it also held workshops and meals at ballrooms, and buyout the hotel restaurants.

At Disney Explorers Lodge, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort's newest property, planners will find a fresh selection of dining and outdoor spaces. The hotel has four themed gardens with landscapes from different regions of the world; the South American-themed Kevin Garden and Asian-themed Hathi Jr. Garden are connected to the hotel's World of Color and Dragon Wind restaurants respectively. These, in addition to the Raindrop Pool, can be utilized for product launches or cocktail receptions.
3. Do a space buyout

Not only does a park buyout offer privileged access to delegates, it also lets planners take advantage of customized catering and exclusive experiences with proven impact. Last year, Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) arranged a themed land buyout with a private preview of Asia's only "Star Wars: Tomorrowland Takeover" attractions. Their VIP guests enjoyed a first-hand experience of Star Wars themed rides and encounters with Star Wars heroes in Tomorrowland, all before these opened to the public.

Guests were then treated to themed meals at Starliner Diner, the Park's largest restaurant with indoor and semi-covered outdoor seats for 800 people. It is also available for cocktails or private buffet dinners during park buyouts.

4. Add tailor-made entertainment

The personal touch is what makes an event truly extraordinary, and that's what Disney offers. When WorldVentures brought 6,000 DreamTrips members to Hong Kong Disneyland in a full park buyout, special guest interactions were devised for the group.
While WorldVentures top executives joined a grand welcome march-in with Disney characters to kick off a private Festival of the Lion King show at the 2,200-seat Theater in the Wild, the executive team also became part of a farewell parade by joining Disney characters and dancers on an omnibus down Main Street. This was followed by closing speeches and toasts on the platform of the Hong Kong Disneyland Railroad Station, ending the event with great fanfare.
5. Take advantage of in-house expertise

When Nielsen Hong Kong held a teambuilding event at Hong Kong Disneyland, its 300 participants learned to create Toy Story Alien-shaped dim sum from Disney chefs in a cooking class at Cinderella Ballroom in Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel. Other activities groups can look forward to include the morning Tai Chi workout and a range of team engagement activities hosted by Disney facilitators.
