Thailand, fresh from hosting the 2018 MDRT Experience Meeting (Million Dollar Round Table), is set to follow through the year with a lineup of other high-profile conferences and events.
The conference-one of the oldest for financial services and insurance professionals-was held in Bangkok from February 8 to 10 and was expecting about 7,000 delegates from more than 60 countries.
"TCEB sees growth opportunities of financial services and insurance sectors in Thailand. The local consumer market tends to pay more attention to the well-being and financial management," said Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya, president of Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau.
This is year is the third time the country has hosted the conference, and also the eleventh year the conference takes place in Asia.
Highlights of the conference included an interactive platform, ConneXion Zone, which enabled audiences to connect with successful MDRT members and Main Platform speakers.
The conference also featured the likes of motivational speakers like David Avrin, Krish Dhanam, the president of the Visibility Coach, entrepreneur and bestselling author, Michael Parrish DuDell and David Horsager, CEO of Trust Edge Leadership Institute and director of one of the United States' foremost trust studies: The Trust Outlook.
The country is also looking ahead with several high profile events and conferences this year.
In March, the country is expecting the 11th Asian Pacific Poultry Conference (APPC 2018), which will bring together 600 international MICE travellers with 500 Thai guests.
The world's biggest eSport event, the World Cyber Games 2018, is also be due arrive in Bangkok from April 26 to 29, and draw more than 10,000 participants.
In June, headline events such as ProPak Asia 2018 will be returning to Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre, from June 13 to 16. The event is expecting a crowd of 50,000 international business visitors and 7,500 Thai businesspeople for the 26th edition of the event.
The country will also be hosting international MICE events including the 13th International Conference of the Asian Clinical Oncology Society 2018 from February 23 to 25 at the Empress Convention Center, the Empress Hotel, Chiang Mai. The conference will welcome more than 500 oncologist professionals from around the region.
The 8th International Congress of Asian Society of Toxicology (ASIATOX 2018), held from June 17 to 20 at the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH), Pattaya, is expecting to gather 600 toxicologists from across Asia.
