The event creates opportunities for buyers and suppliers to connect over one-on-one dialogue and visual presentations, all in one simulated "venue".
M&C Asia Connections Virtual (MCAC) is back this year with a strong showing from Taiwan, Seoul, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Sabah.
The regional edition of this year's event will take place on 15 July, bringing together APAC MICE buyers and suppliers in a full day of pre-scheduled, one-on-one meetings.
Simulating a highly connected onsite experience, the event will gather attendees over three virtual floors, allowing planners and exhibitors to connect during tabletop sessions and even in "lounges".
After taking up an exhibitor spot at last year's event, Seoul Tourism Organisation (STO) is now leading a delegation of suppliers under the destination Pavilion. The Pavilion will house a total of eight exhibitors including Lotte World and Conrad Seoul.
On the decision to return stronger, an STO spokesperson cited the event organisers' specialised expertise in "B2B information exchange and marketing solutions".
"MCAC provides important networking opportunities to attract more business events to Seoul. We presented the opportunities to the Seoul MICE Alliance members and this year, seven members are co-participating with STO [in hopes of] expanding their network with various buyers in Asia," she added.
Another CVB that has taken out a Pavilion is Meet Taiwan. The Pavilion will feature 12 suppliers, from service providers Edison Travel Service to hotels such as Grand Hi-Lai Hotel and Grand Hyatt Taipei.
MCAC will also stage a global edition of the event come 15 September, connecting international event planners with suppliers in Asia.
