Conrad Hotels & Resorts is expanding its 1/3/5 activity programme across Asia, giving guests a pick of locally curated experiences lasting one, three or five hours.

The concierge-led programme packages local food, craft, wellness, nature and neighbourhood culture into itineraries that fit different schedules. These bite-sized experiences hence make for easy add-ons to MICE programmes, while catering to travellers seeking local experiences without committing a full day.

A key feature of the brand’s signature framework is curation at the property level to “reveal the authentic character of each destination”.

The global framework has progressively been rolling out across properties in Asia, including in Bali this year.

Here are some of the newly unveiled Conrad 1/3/5 experiences in Asia:

One hour: a quick hit of place

Guests with 60 minutes to spare can make golden egg puffs and a croissant-inspired ‘croffle’ at Conrad Hong Kong, tour the Iris Farm at Conrad Koh Samui or try Negroni variations during a personalised mixology session at Conrad Singapore Orchard. Conrad Pune’s one-hour option combines a sound bath with a healthy breakfast and botanical elixir.

Three hours: go beyond the lobby

Three-hour experiences include a full-moon ritual and purification ceremony at Conrad Bali, an izakaya-hopping tour through Osaka’s Ura-Tenma district and an ukiyo-e class at Conrad Tokyo, where a traditional craft master recreates Hokusai’s The Great Wave. Conrad Beijing offers visits to Panjiayuan Market or tableside-carved Peking duck.

Five hours: dive deeper

For those with five hours, Conrad Maldives pairs a whale shark outing with coral planting alongside a marine biologist. Elsewhere, Conrad Seoul combines Bukhansan National Park with the historic streets around Bukchon, while Conrad Nagoya explores the 400-year-old arimatsu shibori dyeing tradition through merchant houses, artisan demonstrations and a hands-on workshop.

Conrad Xiamen also offers longer outings centred on Kulangsu’s architecture and musical heritage, as well as a market-to-table experience of the coastal city’s ingredients and everyday food culture.
