For the inaugural Northstar Industry PULSE Survey, conducted in collaboration with Cvent, planners across Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and North America were polled for the first time.

Notably, APAC planners exhibit a higher level of optimism compared to their global counterparts for meetings and events in 2024. Additionally, over two-thirds of APAC planners find their events more valuable to stakeholders post-pandemic.

Key findings include the prioritisation of networking opportunities in face-to-face meetings by APAC planners, alongside ongoing challenges such as budget constraints and increased costs worldwide. Popular meeting destinations within APAC include Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, and Seoul.

APAC’s sustainability policies, while trailing Europe, are ahead of North America. Encouragingly, more than half of APAC planners have sustainability policies in place.
