Wyndham Grand, is expanding its footprint with six new openings planned for 2019 in key destinations around the world. The newcomers will join the brand's existing 39 properties.
"In the last two decades alone, the number of international travelers around the world has more than doubled to nearly 1.3 billion," noted Bob Loewen, COO for the company, in a statement announcing the news. "We're strategically expanding Wyndham Grand's presence around the world in the destinations travellers so eagerly want to explore."
Among the properties scheduled to make their debuts this year is the 423-room Wyndham Grand Cam Ranh, Vietnam, which will feature a Greg Norman-designed 27-hole championship golf course, as well as a conference centre, a spa and wellness facilities. The 400-room Wyndham Grand Mexico City La Condesa will be the brand's first in Mexico, and the company's eleventh brand in the country, joining others such as La Quinta.
The company also will open a Wyndham Grand in Turkey, its fifth in that country; a 144-room property in Westminster, California, as part of a multi-use development; and one each in Georgia and Greece.
