A new era of modern hotels is changing the face of Singapore’s shopping belt. The Conrad Singapore Orchard, the former Regent Hotel, has undergone extensive renovations, and is now accepting guest stay reservations beginning January 1, 2024. It will unveil a new “conscientious luxury experience” with 445 rooms, including 46 suites with spacious double terraces that have natural light within a residential ambience. Rooms are 36 sqm, while suite categories range from 81 to 210 sqm.

Additional amenities include over 1,500 sqm of event spaces with 14 event venues, including seven sun-lit meeting rooms, and 10 dining experiences that include MICHELIN-starred Summer Palace, and global cocktail institution Manhattan, a pet-friendly programme, an executive lounge, fitness centre, and an outdoor pool.

And come 2026, Orchard Road will welcome its first cascading waterfall hotel at the current Faber House. Re-developed into the 250-key Parkroyal Collection Faber House, it will be Pan Pacific Hotels’ fourth Parkroyal Collection property, transforming the eight-storey Faber House office building into an 18-storey hotel designed by WOHA Architects.

Half of the building will be cascading waterfall, while the other half of the building will feature greenery. The hotel is being developed under the Urban Redevelopment Authority’s Strategic Development Initiative (SDI) scheme, which aims to encourage the redevelopment of older buildings in strategic areas into new and innovative developments and to positively transform the surrounding urban environment. Such a project is aimed at rejuvenating the Orchard Road precinct.

The development will also feature a bank, F&B establishments and an urban veranda. The hotel will adopt environmentally sustainable operations, such as waste and water management and change the face and sound of Orchard Road with its prominent greenery and gurgling waters.

It's new sister property, the 347-room and suites Pan Pacific Orchard opened earlier this year and is located nearer to the consulates and embassies. It is also a biophilic luxury hotel differentiated by its Sky Terraces comprising Forest, Beach, Garden and Cloud themes. The Beach Terrace features an organically shaped lagoon pool with palm groves and meandering water edges that link up to Beach Club Loft rooms (32 sqm), making it a new prototype for high-rise tropical hospitality.
