International airlines are continuing to extend flight suspensions to Dubai, with several carriers citing ongoing operational and security concerns linked to regional instability.
Among the latest carriers to delay the return of services is Greece's Aegean Airlines, which has suspended flights to Dubai until 31 August. Other airlines, including Air France, Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa Group and KLM, have also postponed the resumption of Dubai routes, although their revised timelines vary.
The continued disruptions come despite Dubai International Airport remaining operational. Airlines have advised passengers to check the status of their flights before travelling to the airport, as schedules remain subject to change.
The flight changes are expected to affect both leisure travellers and business event delegates, with Dubai entering a busy period for conferences, exhibitions and international meetings. The uncertainty also comes ahead of the autumn travel season, when demand traditionally increases across the Gulf.
According to recent reports, airlines are continuing to monitor developments in the region and adjust schedules as required, with some carriers planning to resume services later this month while others have extended suspensions into September or October.
