Accor Greater China recently announced its newest addition to the Sofitel family: Sofitel Xi'an South, which will in turn be part of Nanfeihong Plaza, a 300,000sqm mixed-use complex that comprises shopping mall and commercial offices owned by Shaanxi Nanfeihong Industrial.
Slated for opening soon, Sofitel Xi'an South will feature 280 guest rooms and suites, as well as three world-class restaurants: an all-day dining establishment, a specialised Chinese restaurant and a specialty signature restaurant unique to Xi'an. Furthermore, in terms of meeting facilities, there is a 800sqm grand ballroom along with six meeting rooms that cater to a wide variety of functions and events.
Gary Rosen, chairman and COO, Accor Greater China, says, "Sofitel Xi'an South's opening will be the group's newest landmark in the ancient Chinese capital and offers a unique French luxury hospitality experience. This will be the 11th Accor hotel in Xi'an. I am particularly excited to announce this groundbreaking partnership with Shaanxi Nanfeihong Industrial for our first project together. This will be another significant addition to the Sofitel brand development following our recent announcement of Sofitel Beijing Central."
Zhuang Yiqing, group president of Shaanxi Nanfeihong Industrial, says, "Nanfeihong Plaza is a major strategic project for our company, as well as for the city's development plan, featuring world class design and excellent business operation partners. We are honoured to work with Accor to launch Sofitel Xi'an South in this strategic location to complement our mixed use complex by introducing a luxurious hotel experience into the Xi'an market."
