Port Dickson will welcome a new 700-key Quest Hotel in 2019.

Archipelago International (A.I.), Indonesia's largest hotel group, has signed a management contract for a 700-room property under the Quest Hotel brand as part of its plan to expand in Asia.

The Port Dickson project will include the city's largest convention centre and a 30,000-square meter water park, and is scheduled to open mid-2019. The destination has been gaining favour with its pristine coastal properties and 5-star marinas like The Admiral Marina & Leisure Club.

"Over the past few years, our team has been preparing for growth throughout Asia, the Middle East, and Cuba," said John Flood, Archipelago International's president and CEO.

The new Quest Hotel and Convention Center in Port Dickson is part of a bigger masterplan for the Malaysia Vision Valley (MVV).

"We are looking at green technology, which will be MVV's game changer," said Norliza Hashim, one of the team tasked with developing the MVV blueprint.

A.I. currently holds Indonesia's largest portfolio with over 130 hotels and 17,000 rooms. It has 100 new properties under development across Indonesia, the Caribbean, Philippines, and Malaysia.
