Currently with 320,000 rooms in its portfolio, HotelServices Europe for AccorHotels looks set to accelerate growth with another 31,000 rooms in the pipeline. Sharing the numbers was Frank Gervais, CEO HotelServices Europe for AccorHotels who indicated that a 40% growth in the number of new rooms opening per year is the target.

Managed under HotelServices, the operator and franchiser, Gervais shared that this strategic division under the AccorHotels Group will look at key cities such as London, Moscow and Paris for its hotel development. "I also see the potential of luxury properties in East Europe as they would appeal to travellers looking for exclusive experiences," said Gervais.

Gervais added that the division will maintain development of its budget and midscale brands, with primary focus on its luxury brands. Market segmentation in Europe currently stands at 38% for luxury, 38% for midscale and 24% for budget.
