Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) has been working on its ongoing multi-year expansion for some time now, with a greater range of entertainment coming down the pipeline. Aside from new attractions, HKDL is also looking to expand its MICE offerings to showcase the 'Disney Difference.'
MICE is an area that HKDL is aggressively looking to expand into. Karen Kwan, business solutions and events director at HKDL, elaborated, "The resort provides an incomparable range of flexible venues and diversified activities for more than 600 different MICE events every year on average. In fiscal year 2017, the resort recorded a strong double-digit growth in MICE business and the momentum continues."
Additionally, improved transportation links with China via the upcoming Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the Hong Kong section of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link, as well as the growing number of direct flights and low-cost carriers to the city, will make HKDL more accessible to corporate groups in short-haul destinations.
"As the ongoing park expansion delivers new attractions and entertainment almost every year through 2023, we will have more assets to develop blockbuster events with a Disney Difference, backed by the Disney heritage deeply rooted in storytelling and creativity, to help companies deliver messages in compelling ways," added Kwan.
