The latest hotel to open in China's rising Greater Bay Area is Mandarin Oriental, Shenzhen, offering 178 keys and events space.

MO Shenzhen sits on the highest floors within Tower One of UpperHills, a 79-storey building in the Futian business district. Rooms and suites offer sweeping vistas of the cityscape, Lotus Hill Park, Bijia Mountain Park and Shenzhen Bay.

Planners can choose to go sky high by booking The Gallery, located on the 77th floor of the hotel, the highest banquet space in Shenzhen.

Or, they could head over to The Cube — adjoined to the hotel — which offers 1,500sqm of event and meeting space.

Due to its structural design, The Cube opens up long spans for ballroom spaces, such as the 700sqm Grand Ballroom and the Mandarin Ballroom and Oriental Ballroom, where the latter two each feature 400sqm of space and floor-to-ceiling windows. Additionally, there’s a 900sqm sheltered outdoor event space that offers scenic views of the park and the city skyline.

Amenities include private lounge The Mandarin Club, The Mandarin Spa, a fitness centre and an indoor swimming pool.

Eight dining options avail across Cantonese fine-dining by Michelin-starred Chef Fei; Spanish, European, Japanese and Pan-Asian restaurants; a rooftop bar offering bespoke cocktails and rare malt whiskies; and a cake shop serving patisseries from the hotel’s Afternoon Tea menu.
