She added that with the localisation of packages, it would give more creativity and flexibility in proving solutions to planners. Sho noted that Malaysia had also unique locations ranging from KL's urban vibrancy to the lush scenery of Langkawi or Sabah.
She said that while for international participants it would be a window into the country's rich culture and heritage for locals it would invoke a nostalgic flavor while perhaps surprising them with some new twists.
The are 11 properties participating in KL and the greater Klang Valley, four in Langkawi, one in Johor Bahru and one in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Each of them will have their unique take on the Malaysian cultural and food experience.
At the launch in Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel guests were given a sampling of the rich culinary offerings the country has to offer in a food bazaar concept amidst a backdrop of colourful decorative handicraft and textiles while also being entertained by cultural performances. The service staff who were attired in various ethnic costumes added to the experience.
