Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur has opened in the Malaysian capital, marking the return of the brand to the city.

Offer 306 guestrooms and 104 fully serviced residences, the five-star property is located at KL Midtown and directly opposite MITEC. It is designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, integrating natural materials such as wood, stone and paper.

This theme is carried through to the hotel’s meeting spaces, of which there are 16 in total, including The Courtyard, a zen-inspired outdoor retreat, providing fresh air and a rejuvenating space for networking breaks.

Other spaces include a pillarless ballroom and meeting rooms that span across three floors. Each event floor offers abundant natural light, open concept layouts and warm wood accents.

Dining venues include China House, which offers an immersive culinary experience with dishes celebrating Northern China’s robust flavours, such as wood-fired Peking Duck and dim sum and ENSŌ Izakaya & Bar, serving Japanese cuisine and featuring one of Kuala Lumpur's most extensive premium sake collections.

Hotel guests can relax at the infinity pool on the fifth floor surrounded by tropical greenery, with a 24-hour fitness centre located on the same floor.

Till Martin, general manager at the property said: “We are delighted to introduce Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown – a hotel that redefines urban hospitality through exceptional design, thoughtful amenities and an unparalleled location. We aim to cultivate a dynamic hub for global events, fostering connections and elevating the city’s status as a premier destination for business, convention, lifestyle and tourism.”
