Lounge at Hilton Bengaluru Marathahalli Outer Ring Road
Hilton has launched its Spark by Hilton brand in Asia Pacific with the opening of the region’s first two properties under the premium-economy brand in India.
The debuting hotels are the 82-room Spark by Hilton Bengaluru Marathahalli Outer Ring Road and the 64-room Spark by Hilton Goa Calangute.
These are the first openings under Hilton's agreement with Olive Hospitality to develop 150 Spark by Hilton hotels across India over the coming years.
What Spark?
Introduced in 2023, Spark by Hilton is one of Hilton's fastest-growing brands globally. Positioned in the premium economy category, the brand is designed around a simplified, value-driven offering that combines essential amenities, modern technology and Hilton's loyalty ecosystem at an accessible price point.
The India launch also marks Spark by Hilton's entry into Asia Pacific, extending a global footprint that has grown to more than 240 operating hotels, with a further pipeline of nearly 230 properties.
First Spark’s in Asia target corporates and events
The Bengaluru property is located in Marathahalli, one of the city's key technology and business corridors, within easy reach of major employment hubs including Embassy Tech Village, RMZ Ecospace and other IT parks.
The hotel features complimentary breakfast, an all-day dining restaurant, fitness centre, EV charging facilities, digital check-in and Digital Key technology.
“The hotel is well-positioned to serve the steady flow of corporate and MICE demand that defines this part of the city,” Hilton said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Spark by Hilton Goa Calangute brings the brand to one of India's most popular leisure destinations. Situated near Calangute Beach and the area's dining and nightlife precincts, the hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, fitness centre, pet-friendly accommodation and a full-service restaurant.
For events, the property also features a dual-level banquet venue, positioning it to serve corporate gatherings and small-scale meetings alongside leisure demand.
Indian growth
While Spark by Hilton follows a standardised global model, Hilton has adapted several elements for the Indian market.
Guests will find complimentary breakfasts featuring a DIY dosa station, self-service chai carts in public areas and vending machines stocked with travel essentials and snacks.
The two openings follow the announcement of the first 10 Spark by Hilton signings in India. Additional hotels are planned in destinations including Jaipur, Nashik, Mathura, Pune, Rajkot and Hyderabad as Hilton and Olive Hospitality work towards building one of the country's largest branded premium economy hotel networks.
