DoubleTree by Hilton Penang sits along Penang’s northern coast, overlooking the Indian ocean.
Hilton's DoubleTree by Hilton brand has set foot in Penang with its first resort-style property in Malaysia. The opening has added 316 rooms and suites along the beach area of Penang's north coast.
The resort is 45 minutes away from Penang Penang International Airport and 20 minutes from Georgetown, the island's UNESCO World Heritage-listed capital, which can be accessed by a complimentary shuttle bus service from the hotel.
"We have experienced strong demand since the hotel started operating in January, with high occupancy and interest from the events sector. I am confident that all guests will be captivated by our comprehensive range of facilities and renowned standards of hospitality," said Linda Giebing, DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang's general manager.

The hotel features a distinctive design concept that blends contemporary style with classical Peranakan motifs. Its rooms are equipped with walk-in rain showers, 40-inch LED TVs and Wi-Fi, with many also featuring a private balcony with sea views.
For meetings and incentives groups, the resort offers conference spaces including three flexible meeting rooms for events of between 12 and 120 delegates, an outdoor terrace and a ballroom capable of handling 550 guests.
The opening is the fourth DoubleTree by Hilton to join Malaysia and Hilton's 50th in the Asia Pacific region, and is also part of Hilton's guest-loyalty, Hilton Honors.
