Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has made its debut in Vietnam with the opening of Fairmont Hanoi in the capital’s Old Quarter. When open in February 2026, the hotel will add more than 4,000sqm of meeting and event spaces to the historic area.

Fairmont’s first property in Vietnam is located steps from Hoàn Kiếm Lake and features 241 guestrooms, including 38 Fairmont Gold rooms and 12 suites.

A highlight for event planners is what the hotel says is the largest pillarless ballroom in Hanoi’s Old Quarter.

The 1,115-sqm Grand Ballroom with a 7.4-metre ceiling height can accommodate up to 900 guests in theatre format, 700 for banquets and 500 classroom style.

Smaller ballrooms include the Signature Ballroom and Junior Ballroom, each at 300sqm and capable of hosting up to 270 guests.

The hotel also offers dedicated meeting rooms ranging from 51sqm to 87sqm, with capacities for 50 to 70 guests depending on configuration.

Fairmont Hanoi is also positioned as a lifestyle and social hub, with eight restaurants, bars and lounges serving up Vietnamese, Japanese, Italian and international concepts. Venues include a contemporary Vietnamese restaurant led by celebrity chef Luke Nguyen, an Italian dining concept by Michelin-starred chef Nicolas Isnard, and rooftop leisure spaces overlooking the city.

The hotel is home to The Cirua Spa, Fitness & Wellness Club, a 3,530-sqm urban wellness facility featuring hydrotherapy and thermal areas, plunge pools, saunas and steam rooms, a lap pool, a fitness studio and 10 private treatment rooms.
